The problem
Ingabire Imports brings in electronics and small appliances for retail chains across Rwanda. Paper invoices were the last piece of the operation that felt like it belonged in a different decade: printed, filed, couriered, lost, reprinted, sometimes couriered again.
Marie-Claire estimated the paper, toner, courier, and staff-time cost at around 180K RWF per month — not ruinous, but annoying, and visibly wasteful to customers who had long stopped using paper themselves.
Why GwizaSuite
The customer portal tipped the decision. Her buyers — mostly retail chain procurement teams — were already asking for a self-serve view of their invoices and statements. GwizaSuite gave them that on day one, branded with Ingabire’s logo and colors.
Implementation
Turning paper off was the hard part emotionally, not technically. Marie-Claire kept a printer running for the first month ‘just in case.’ It was never used. In month two she unplugged it. Nobody noticed.
