The problem

The Nkurunziza Group runs four supermarkets in and around Kigali. Before GwizaSuite, David — the finance director — received four weekly PDFs from four branch managers, each in a slightly different format. Consolidating them for the board took him three days every quarter.

Why GwizaSuite

He priced QuickBooks Enterprise against GwizaSuite. The total cost for four branches tipped the decision. The RRA-format VAT summary made it easy.

Implementation

Rolling out four branches at once was ambitious. Two succeeded in the first month, two took a second month. By day 90 all four were on the same ledger.

90 days in

David generates his monthly board pack now on Monday morning. It used to take three days. It now takes two hours. The extra time goes to actual decisions.

The numbers.

What David would tell a peer

If your board asks for numbers and you need three days to get them, you’re doing it wrong. I was, for seven years.
